A while back I checked out this ‘60’s Shasta trailer that was under restoration. It was about 80 percent complete, but was missing a lot of detail work.
Aside from paint and finish wood work, the interior needed upholstery. But any old upholstery wouldn't do. The owner wanted something closely matching the original theme of a '60s Shasta.
After doing some research I learned about StitchCraft Interiors, a custom upholstery shop located in Westminster, California, who has made a name for itself by recreating nostalgic designs that are no longer being offered. If you can put it down on paper, chances are StitchCraft can create it, so I decided to drop by for a visit.
StitchCraft was established in 1978 by Revo Reeves and quickly became the go-to shop for TV and film productions that feature custom vehicles, in fact, you can see their handy work in films like Fast and the Furious.
Soon after our visit, I asked StitchCraft to make several small cushions in a '60s shade of green that closely matched the original theme of this particular Shasta. In less than a week, the cushions were done and the trailer owner couldn't have been happier.
