 What captured our interest was the the pure beauty of the resort for starters, but what sealed the deal for us was the nearby ocean front accommodations...making this destination an adventure in paradise.

With enough local attractions to keep your entire family busy, Lakewood is in a league of its own. From golfing to aquariums, amusement parks and plenty of water sports, Lakewood has an incredible array of things to do all around it.

Lakewood is celebrating its 50th year anniversary and has all sorts of great activities and events lined up for their guests this season, including complimentary show tickets and much more. Lakewood is also one of the first to create a "green" initiative at the resort called Be Nature's Guest, where patrons are encouraged to recycle aluminum cans, cardboard and plastics in bins that are located throughout the resort. Money collected from the aluminum cans is donated to a local Myrtle Beach charity.
