Gig Harbor

Stopped for some coffee and a view of Gig Harbor in Washington after taking a ferry from Seattle to get here. What a great vacation spot, and Gig Harbor has a wonderful RV resort, very close to some fantastic golf courses.

In fact, the 2010 U.S. Amateur is happening in Chambers Bay later next week, just 11 miles from where I sit in downtown Gig Harbor. Boy, wish I had my clubs. There are plenty of championship courses in this part of Washington. If golf isn't your thing, there's also lots of sailing and hiking to do.

If you ever get a chance to visit this area of Washington, I recommend it. Lots of friendly people and good places to stay, even if you don't RV.
