I don't usually post corporate news because, frankly, it is something that is typically better left for the trade journals. But news that Valley not only underwent a change in ownership, and also moved into a bigger facility is worth a few words from RV magazine.
As many of you know, Valley was once owned and operated by Thule, the big sports rack company. Apparently, Thule didn't have the kind of service that is expected in the RV business and subsequently, there seemed to be a disconnect between Valley and the end-user. I'm happy to report that Valley is now being run by people who specialize in the RV and tow rig market. As director of marketing Mike McCann said, "At Valley, we build quality towing products and are dedicated to supporting distributors to the marketplace."
I had a few moments face-to-face with McCann at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, where he told me that they are going back to their roots, and are servicing the RV industry with people that really understand the product they sell.
